Adam Walder's Blog
13/02/08
I figure it's about time I see how these blog things work, Josh threw some pics up on his recently so I thought I would do the same. There's been one main talking point this last week, and no I don't mean Neighbours' infamous move to Channel 5, it's that the world is pretty topsy-turvy right now. The daffodils are out, easter eggs are in the shops and the sun is shining. Skating - in a t-shirt - in the sunshine - in January? Unheard of! Liking it though.
After the session at Marchwood just over a week ago, Josh and I decided we'd go back, have a chilled session and see if we can't get some stuff down in the process. I have lost a lot of tricks since I broke myself all that time ago and it's great to finally be starting to get some of it back, I'm still not fully cured of the fear yet but it's coming along.
The mini at Marchwood is great for learning on, the transition is mellow so you can play about. Started off with blunts, nose slaps, front feebles, c*** grinds, and back feebles. I look proper butters in the feeble pics but oh well, all good times.

Josh randomly learned nose and tail bumps over the spine first try, and got back his 180 noseblunts perfect every try, and with 180's out. He's a bit of a cheeky git at that! 360's out next session yea Josh??!
Next up were the ledges, my main fear still really is down ledges and rails, not skated them that much in the last year or so. I warmed up with some nose slides and back 50's before trying to re-learn back smiths down it. Every time I came up and either bottled it or missed the smith Josh took a photo of himself, so as you can see - 5th time was the charm.
What I'm viewing at the moment:
A few things I'm watching at the moment - Colin Horan from Day One was down south last summer and we hooked up to skate and film with him a lot while he was here. He's uploaded an awesome video on YouTube of footage we collected, so check that out:
Also on a side note, if you like getting your laugh on - tune into Channel
4 on Thursday at 10pm to see the Big Bang Theory, it's a new American
sitcom and it is the best sitcom to come out in ages.
