How to correctly set up your GrossO Bindings - ProGross. Ok, so you've seen how to set up your Bindings in the "Classic" set up, now it's time to show you the "ProGross" setting. While it does require more time, the end result is the most comfortable binding system on the market. Because the leather gets wrapped around your shoes they feel exactly like your wearing a shoe outside your shoe, plus you get the added bonus of knowing for sure your bindings are directly above the truck axle so it will maximize your board's strength.
You will need all of the tools and parts that we detailed for you at the beginning of Page 1.
First things first, take one of your foam shock pads and place it over the centre of the footplate so the holes on the shock pad match the WSA truck bolts and kingpin on your board. You'll notice you have an extra set of holes on the inside of the foam pad. This is where you drill your holes for the t-nuts to go. The new holes on the foam pads always face towards the crossbar, so on your other footplate the foam pad will mirror the one shown above.
Drill your new holes using the 6mm drill bit. Only drill new holes on the holes next to the truck bolts. The holes in the foam pad on either side of the kingpin nut in the centre is for the screws (which we'll go in to later) and therefore no drilling is necessary. Now to start fitting your bindings.
Place one side of your binding flat on top of your board with the inside of the binding facing upwards. Again, you have multiple options on which holes you want to bolt in to so this is up to you.
Then place the foam pad and then the bracket on top of your binding and bolt them in using the included WSA truck bolts (the bolts that come with the boards are a little too short so these new ones must be used). Just take out the bolts already in your board and use these new ones to replace them.
Next up is the same process as you've just done, but this time using the holes you drilled a little while ago. For this you need the smaller black bolts and the t-nuts.
Place the bolt through one of the drilled holes and then on the underside of your footplate place the t-nut onto the bolt and then start tightening. As you tighten, the t-nut will sink into the wood until it is flush with your footplate. Then all you need to do is screw the screws into the holes on either side of the kingpin with the Philips head screw driver.
You now have one foot bolted in securely. Now you just need to repeat the process again for your other foot and that is it.
Now it's time to get out there and show everyone your mad skills. |
